what the fuck is wrong with people?

I mean, really? I wasn't going to put this up because I didn't want to look at it or inflict it on you. and then I thought, well, if it would stop just one parent making their kid do something stupid and/or scary and taking a photo of it while they cry, then it's worth it.
Stupid bastards. I bet they laughed.

I think it's hilarious. My parents made me pose sitting on a goat at a friends farm when I was around 3. There is pictures of me just like that only slightly more red in the face, the memories!

Well, with the exception of anonymous, I hope you all get Evil Clown nightmares tonight.

Chasing your small nieces around the house pretending to be the hungry scary monster is one of the best fun things you can do. Watching them scream with laughter when they're caught is priceless.

Have to admit though that photo does make me laugh.

But that's cute, and consensual! An analogy would be creeping into your nieces and nephews' bedrooms dressed as a nightmare monster and chasing them round, while their parents had a giggle at their terror.

I get Evil Clown nightmares every night anyway so I'll just point out I think it's funny...
obviously it depends on the child, but when I had stuff like that done to me I was fine.

I once walked off with a complete stranger cos I thought he was Mr Bean, that scared my parents 1000 times more than anything they ever done scared me.

God, you all, I don't know what to say. Is it just that you don't remember what it was like to be scared like that? Or because you weren't ever picked up by a giant fucking ORK when you were three that you can't relate to the fear on that child's face?

God help all your children!

ah he's grand, I have lasting memories of being made give my great auntie twice removed a big kiss that are much worse.

heh.

Still, I dunno. Take a closer look at that face, the teeth, all of it. That's not the same as a goat!

The poor wee thing....AND some cruel git has splashed bird shit on his forehead too.

The inhumanity of it.

That's not fear on the childs face, that's a face of excitement.

Kids love that stuff.

Did you see the clip of a really fat kid going on a rollercoaster with his aunt, and the fat kid is absolutely terrified and screaming for help cos he's slipping out of the seat and that makes the aunt laugh even harder and harder.
Even when it stops she just sits there laughing.

Terrifying children, especially fat children, is one of lifes biggest pleasures.

Morgor, will you marry me?

I had pictures of Jesus bleeding on the cross waved at me, it was one of those ones that when you tilted them a bit another photo appeared... he used to wink at me when a bit of blood fell, then he'd shut his eyes entirely.

Morgor, will you marry me?

No. But I refuse to ever get married so it's not a slight on you.

I would however give you a biscuit if I met you.

I would assume that the kid is a little actor and the whole thing is a stunt for LOTR fan birthday cards??? Hopefully? Because then it would be funny. If it's real...

I once met a 4 year old who could immitate Gollum with ALARMING accuracy. His parents were contacted from the playschool some weeks later, after he had graduated from LOTR to Troy. He had been zooming around the playground shouting "Hectoooooooor" Achilles-style and belting the other kids, thinking this was all great fun - sure weren't they all doing the same thing on Daddy's DVDs?

Yes indeed. Movies for grownups and chizzlers do not mix.

Why I ranted about that very issue not long ago, MJ!

I can't see this being publicity though - looks like a family snap from a convention to me.
