electric picnic

Oh, I want to go, I want to go! I want to move the family there for the weekend! Or better yet, just go by myself!

My Bloody Valentine!!
The Breeders!
The Waterboys!
That Petrol Emotion!?

Franz Ferdinand, The Gossip, Sinead O Connor, Cathy Davey, Henry Rollins.

Oooooohhhhhhhhh crap I wish I had no baby and lots of money for one weekend.

Well, obviously I wish I had lots of money for more than just the weekend.

Look what you're reducing me to, commenting on my own post...

My Bloody Valentine did serious and permanent damage to my hearing when I saw them touring their Loveless album. Whatever you do, don't bring your baby along.

Would I do it again?

Sorry, you'll have to speak up.

Heh, I saw them in The SFX and seem to have survived unscathed - was that you pressing your ear to the speaker, then?

No, I saw them in Camden, London. -Think it was the last date of the UK tour, and they went all-out in the volume stakes.
I remember meeting some workmates outside afterwards, and making futile attempts at conversation. Everyone was in a daze, and couldn't hear anyone else.
The young lady I had taken with me never spoke to me again. I think.

It's just about organisation is all JTM. Time to call in the favours, bring out the old gear from the wardrobe and leave the hubby at home for the weekend with the little ones ;-)

Could you really do the hippy family thing? Really?

Sadly, it's more the cash than the babies that are the problem. Well, oth. I haven't had my car serviced in two years - and no NCT either, as I'm waiting to get a service. And I've a broken tooth and cavities need fixing. So should I really spend that much on a ticket? I really shouldn't.

Who knows, the Juice might get to play it, then I'd better get a free ticket!
