I'm not sure how to put this.

That's not really the point.

Masculine attractiveness as always been about muscles and hard lines and so on. But it's only recently the yardstick of female beauty has come closer to that particular standard.

Obviously fashions for female body type change, like in the thirties or what have you. It's just right now, what was once accepted is now reviled...

I'm not really saying anything other than that. There's definitely a post to be written on the pressures to be toned and buff and abbed to the max... along with a rise in male anorexia etc... but I'm not sure that's my post to write.

And anyway, I think that comment probably does me and my female readers something of a disservice! Some of us may well be married to men of similar softness.

If it inspires more professing of flabby man love then I've done a service to society's marital bed as a whole surely.
