The shower is the friend of the lonely. It's ok to be on your own in the shower. And the hot water feels so comforting. And you almost can't hear your kids screaming at each other. Well, that's a lie, but you can run the water into your ears and pretend.
I love the heat from the oven as well, warming my abdomen when I stand there to cook. It's like an unexpected hug, somehow. I've a friend who liked the poor woman's facial you get when you have to open the dishwasher mid cycle, but I'm a little more ambiguous about that.
Oh. It's ok, I'm not going to start talking about spin cycles, it's not that sort of post.
Sunshine, as well, when we get it. Sometimes in the car the sun beams in the window and heats me up, and it feels like a blessing.
Hot water bottles, too. Oh, and when you get back into bed and it's still warm, especially when you didn't think it would be! I am grateful for the warmth that is available. I'm not much of a hot weather person, I get pink and I chafe, but these little comforts are good things.

Baths are also great (but you might need headphones to dull sounds of children!)
My hot water heater isn't up to it anymore, they're always something of a tepid and shallow disappointment. Plus, I may have mentioned: AVOCADO!
Is that the colour of your bath or the yummy green food ?.. Have just made courgette and goats cheese enchilladas and can't wait to tuck in later..with avocado..yes, food gives me that lovely warm feeling too..o and red wine..happy days :))

Yes dinner was lovely..got the recipe from SProuted Kitchen blog..really good..needless to say kids not impressed ! Back to avocado bath..they re beyond cool..seriously..you couldn't buy one now..
