my son, my son

First one, he's on a yellow submarine, second, naked cannonball.

I don't understand lurkers. Why come back and look again, if what's here never moves you to say anything? To comment, to have an opinion, to criticize. Sure, I don't want lots of nastiness or aggro - but if you feel that about a blog, don't keep coming back, no?

Ok, so I comment on things more than most, and some days I just don't have anything to say. But something like this, when I share a picture of my child who I've been writing about since my pregnancy with him at the start of the blog... wouldn't you take a moment to say something? Even a smiley face?

I gotta say, lurkers, unless you're all one off visitors who got here by accident from google, it's a little bit rude.

I guess I'm a lurker. I got here from Ms Moon's site. I tend not to comment because I don't have a blog you can go back to and in a sense I don't feel "real" in that way. I'm un-lurking because of your comment. I like your blog and your child is beautiful!

Thank you Joanne! I'm sorry for being grumpy. I appreciate it though, I really do. I don't mind about my usual posts, but I have to confess it feels a little creepy to put up a picture of one of the kids and have anonymous people silently watch and not say anything. One reason I don't do it more often, I guess.

I don't think you have to have a blog to feel real, though. You can still get to know people through comments.

Thank you, Jo. I actually have gotten to know a handful of people well thru the blog world and I've come to absolutely love them. I know I can comment here now!

Blogs need comments! I used to have lots, and I miss the interaction between everyone.

I take it he had a good time, then? It looks like it!

He's adorable. He's not home yet, late tomorrow night he'll be back. He's been quite homesick - misses his dog and his house. I'm a little sad for him that he hasn't had a straightforward good time.
