retrospective

One small rebel... stay off the grass, kids, look what it does to you

My parents got these blown up for my 18th birthday present - and when Axel saw this one he said, 'oh, I know that Look'

Ahh, blondness....

I'm posting this for the extremely shallow reason that I want that haircut back! And the blondness... sigh...  but the view, folks, the view... Inch in Kerry. You can't see the beach because I cut my sister out of the photo, for her own privacy of course... heheheheheh.

Thanks, Mary and Mwa :)

Yes, Dan, I'm stained... soiled... besmirched...

ACtually, I asked Cassia if she thought she looked like me and she said in tones of disgust, no, I have NEVER worn a flower in my hair, EVER!

Yeah, it's an old old photo...

K8, that's a sweet thing to say.

Those are so cute! And how kind of you to think of your sister. ;-)

I was a blondie-blue-eye until I was four, then it all went dark.

Besmirched, soiled...

No looking back, eh Jo?

I love number one, it is outstanding.

I had friends over for dinner and they were looking at my wall of old family pictures. I pointed out that I thought I looked like a dump truck at about three and they all disagreed -that I was not quite as bushpig-esque as i thought. We have since had a 'Who was the Ugliest Baby' competition at work.

I still think I am a clear winner.

Bahahaha, Kate, bushpig-esque. Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.

I think that what Ilacked in sweet beauty as a child I may have made up for in excess of character. I don't know how I've had such gorgeous children, tbh.

I did say that to my mother though, about being an unprepossessing baby and she spluttered and insisted indignantly that people used to stop her on the street to tell her how lovely I was :)

That's quite the jumpsuit!

I would call that overalls. I did at one later point have a golden brown cord jumpsuit that zipped up the middle. That was quite something.

a good hairdresser can get you the hair cut and the blondness! but it takes a lot of visits to the hairdresser to maintain... I gave up on it when I got pregnant, I knew nappies and baby clothes and all that stuff wouldn't leave much money for highlights... or time!

i was cute until I was about 4 or 5, then I lost the last of the baby cuteness and turned into a skinny pale gawky kid... and the lovely dark blond lightly sun streaked hair darkened to mousy brown around the same time
