I seem to be writing in that way you do when your brain is stuck in a chat box after protracted Chat. Short sentences, individual lines and a deep need to punctuate with emoticons.

That can't-swallow-your-spit-thing often means Strep which you should not fuck around with. My sister-in-law lost her kidneys over an undertreated strep. It travels through the body and settles in a major organ and years later...

Apart from miserable how the hell are ya, girl? Sorry to read this. Seems like that chez moi just now too. Last one standing, in fact (ok, sitting), and wonder am I beginning to feel or imagine phantom chills.

Mary, I always had a tendency to sore throats - no organ damage yet - I still have my tonsils, so I think I'm ok. My mother had a patient who used to get Strep throat a lot and got hers out, and instantly Strep kidneys the nex time... Bodhi had this same thing last week, it might well have been that as it's been in his playschool before. He was better in a couple days though. We will see.
Oh no! you poor love :( Have you tried gargling with a bit of water and oil of oregano? Really good against the strep bacteria. One or two drops in a glass and gargle.

Am also going to get teh Strep remedy from my homoepath, just in case.
