I forgot to say, the HSE Healthy Eating Primary school programme, Food Dudes (though dodgy in some respects - pre cut and plastic packaged veg of indeterminate age and plastic water bottles), is responsible for the fact that Olivia is now asking me for kiwi, apples, carrots, celery and cucumber in her lunch box and carrots for snacks! Praise the clever mix of role modelling, bribery and conditioning that has her eating raw veg again!

Whatever works, works.

We could do with some of that. Even though Belgian habits mean no stress for me: every lunch box has four pieces of bread, some margarine, one slice of cheese or meat, and one spread of chocolate. The end. Boring, not all that healthy I suppose but ea-sy.

But I must add to that that at home we eat fruit at four, and the children love love love their veggies at night. Love them.
