How true..suppose theatre was the television of the day when Synge was writing..its hard to believe that land can still arouse such fury..is it an Irish thing ??
I suspect it is. Though the guy in question sounds like he might have gone off on a paranoid episode - but yeah. Perhaps because of the colonial thing, or just because there's so little of it in our little country?
