Oh sweet!! Babies! The dog food we put out today was gone, kids as excited as if fairies had been :)
Husband darkly said it might have been a giant fat rat and was discouraging. I mentioned that I read hedgehogs need to weigh 450grams to survive hibernation and he insisted this one was weighty. I said the ones I'd seen on tv looked bigger, and he said, well, you know what they say about the camera. Giggle*
I looked at the hedgehog post and recalled my dogs joyously bringing the sweet little things into the house ... and tearing them apart all over the carpet. And I thought you maybe didn't want to hear that... ;-)

In my defence, I've just watched it :) Lovely. I can't wait to experience that myself. They look so happy :)

Ah, you get a much more civilised and genteel sort of animal-capture with a retriever! :)
