Something has slipped into place this afternoon. The rain melted the remnants of the don't-park-here sticker I got slapped on the car a couple weeks ago, and hadn't fully scraped off. It peeled beautifully away as I stood in a rainy car park.
Then I came home from two supermarkets to find the door opened by Olivia in jeans and a tshirt for the first time in a couple months, and she's just had a couple happy hours playing with her friend next door and her brother, and is going over next door to watch a movie in a bit.
Damn. You start to believe it's impossible, even though you know at the same time it'll change. It seems magic, though, when it does. Even if this only lasts a couple hours, I'll take it.
