shoes

I was feeling a bit panicky and paranoid today for some reason - perhaps a visit from Olivia's head teacher, who suggested thinking about medication for her... and then I got the time wrong for the appointment with the HSE psychologist and psychiatrist and didn't get to go. They're crap though, I'm not that sorry. We have a good one coming next week, I'd rather invest my time in her.

Anyway, I decided it might be best to avoid social media so rather than doing my work and going to bed early, I looked at shoes. Bodhi came up and looked with me, and asked to see the ones he'd fancied again, as his sister had made him feel miserable with one of her diatribes and emotional outbursts. She specialises in both these days, and leaves him teary and demoralised.

Shoes. Make everything better.

I want boots and flats, on sale, Hush Puppies. Weirdly, I'm drawn to the purple boots and the red shoes today, much as I think that's a bad idea. Red shoes on middle aged women suggest a certain longing to be cool and arty and, imho (sorry if I'm offending you) tend to suggest the longing rather than the coolness. That art teacher look. A more critical man than me once described that look to me exactly when he was disparaging felting. I don't know whether to laugh or cry about that one, tbh.

These are cute, though, aren't they? Still, I'd better get them in black. With my imaginary shoe budget. Arg.

I'm calling bullshit on this one, Jo! Red shoes- you can't have a bad time in them. There is no age limit on wearing red shoes.
And if there is- break the damn rule!

I want those shoes. I have a million pairs but what's one more pair? It's not like I'm robbing a convenience store or anything...

I just love Hush Puppies. So cute, so comfy. They're made for my wide, wide, fat little feet :)
