Sitting here with my coffee propped on my chest where my boobs probably once were, and I don't know why but the steam is bringing a smell of Turkish delight, sweet and perfumed to my nose.

It's delicious, and is making me want rose flavoured coffee, which sounds utterly disgusting.

It's just the cheapy coffee today, for some reason.

So I have a new car (yay!) and new glasses (yay, though they're making me feel dizzy and nauseous, which is normal as long as it clears up in a week).

I've spent so much money the last couple weeks, it's scary. I still have to get Axl's car valeted so I can give it back to him in nice condition (well, if you ignore the plethora of scratches and dents and the hanging-off bumper that he had to stick on with duct tape today). Sigh.

I also stopped on the way home from collecting my glasses to get a new battery for his key - he hasn't had one for years, and I've struggled around in the rain and to and fro round the side of the car getting shopping and relocking it for the last year wishing it worked. Went and got it for him, worried about cost. IT WAS €4.99. For fuck's sake! I suspect there's a lesson to be found in this.

I've just worked out how to use my webcam. Do you like my new  glasses?

That's a picture of an egg on my hand, to remind me to take home my eggs from my locker (a colleague has hens). Did I remember to? What do you think...

Ah, Jo! There you are! I like your new glasses!
Don't feel bad. I don't remember anything these days. Except to cook and do laundry. Those I remember. And eat. I never forget to do that.

I've had a strangely unhungry couple days, I've no idea why. Not that I didn't eat, of course, but I haunted the kitchen less than usual. Forgetting to eat is a kind of the mysterious gold standard of maturity, in some ways, isn't it?

You can't see in the crappy pic, but they're actually kind of bronze colour frames?

Your glass look a lot like mine! So of course, I like them.

Glasses fine, but what's that coming out of your head? Are you one of us, or sent to us from a far and distant planet?

Heh, that would be a pot rack on the wall, which you hopefully can't see is covered in grease and dust because I can't face climbing on the counter to clean it.

sigh of relief - you ARE one of us, and a normal one that: climbing on the counter to dust... the very thought of it!

Thank heavens you don't climb counters to dust. The very thought of it!

Sorry, Elsewhere, I've comment moderation on older comments, didn't see these til today!

I suspect I'm not one of you, unless being one of you means never doing any cleaning ever.
