Today has a triumh! Olivia had a shower, complete with oily gunge on scalp treatment and conditioner, and stayed in it for about twenty minutes, surely enough to melt of the fortnight of accumulated grunge. I even got her clothes in the wash. She got out (no screaming and hitting!!) and said, cheerfully, 'I smell like a frooti tooti lollipop!'
I know this sounds normal, but life had not been normal round here for many months, and she's been smelling and looking like a little nine year old bag lady for a week or so now. So, a triumph, for the next few days at least.

It's the little things, isn't it?
Kiss that frooti tooti lollipop for me.
It's more when the everyday things that should be totally normal but aren't stop being a terrible tug of war for a second.
She doesn't like kisses - no kisses for her, sadly.
